All content on this site is general and educational. Nothing here is legal, tax, accounting, lending or investment advice, and no advisor-client relationship is created by your use of the site. Confirm specific rules, rates and forms with the relevant New York State agency, attorney, CPA, lender, insurer or licensing office before acting on anything you read here.

Calculators and tools

The calculators produce illustrative estimates from the assumptions documented on the methodology page and the inputs you provide. They are not valuations, loan pre-approvals, or guarantees of any outcome. An SBA lender, CPA or business appraiser will reach their own conclusions from their own underwriting or analysis, and where their number differs from a calculator on this site, theirs is the one that governs.

Listings

There is no listings database on this site — nothing to browse, and no inventory implied that does not exist. Hedgestone separately maintains 500+ active New York opportunities; those are confidential and released to vetted buyers under NDA, not published here. Any reference on this site to specific businesses, industries or geographies is illustrative and educational — not an offer to sell, and not a representation that any particular business is available.

Accuracy and change

Regulatory rules, tax thresholds and program caps change. Every mutable claim on this site cites a primary source and carries the date it was checked, and entries are reviewed on the schedule set out in the editorial policy. Even so, a page may be out of date between reviews. The cited source always governs over our summary of it.

This site links to third-party government and industry sources so you can verify what you read. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party sites.
